Confessions of an Anxious Mortician

welcome to my anxious brain

The Semesters Flew By!

Chapter Twenty One. Second semester at Mortuary Science school successfully completed. Roommate at my funeral home apartment moves in tomorrow. I haven’t lived with a stranger in twenty years. My whole life is in one room. This too shall pass.

Chapter Twenty-Two. Third semester well under way. Roommate dropped out after a week of school and moved back home, so now I’m living alone again. (Yay!) Less than 7 months until I graduate. I can’t believe how far I’ve come in the last couple of years.

Chapter Twenty-Three. Third semester almost over. Comp exams are next. Then the National Board exams. I’ll be all done in April. Sometimes it’s hard to believe where I’m living and what I’m doing.

Chapter Twenty-Four. Third semester finals have been completed. Ready for the three week break. And two weeks off of work. I’ll be on call the week of Christmas, but that’s the name of the game. I keep chugging along.

Chapter Twenty-Five. Fourth semester well under way. Performed my first official Celebrant service. Practicum starts March 9th. Graduation is April 18th. Now all I need is to secure an apprenticeship.

Awww, early 2020. If only I knew…..
